Job summary

Peraton in Columbus, GA seeks a Deputy Program Manager - Behavioral Research to lead a multidisciplinary research team supporting ARI and other government clients. The role blends project leadership, PI responsibilities, and robust data collection and analysis in an applied setting.

You will supervise ~6 staff, manage 8-10 projects annually, coordinate with customers, contribute to business development, and deliver timely reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years with MS/MA; 6 years with a PhD.
• Demonstrated experience supporting Army behavioral research projects.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team conducting 8-10 research projects annually in an applied government setting.
• Serve as Primary Investigator on multiple projects.
• Supervise ~6 employees with professional development and performance reviews.
• Build rapport with Contractor Officer Representatives and sub-contractors.
• Interface with customers and sponsors to meet requirements and brief Army leaders.
• Lead business development through proposals and white papers.
• Ensure quality control and timely delivery of research products and reports.
• Coordinate data collection, field data, interviews, and data analysis as needed.
