Job summary

Peraton, based in Columbus, GA, seeks a Deputy Program Manager – Behavioral Research to lead a team supporting the U.S. Army Research Institute and other agencies. The role is primarily remote/telework with on-site requirements in Columbus, GA, and travel up to 25% as needed.

You will oversee 6 direct reports, PI on multiple projects, and work with customers and sponsors to meet requirements, while driving BD through proposals and white papers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; 6 years with a PhD.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team that conducts 8–10 projects annually using behavioral science in an applied government setting.
• Serve as a Primary Investigator (PI) on multiple projects.
• Provide direct supervision of ~6 employees, including performance reviews and timecards.
• Interface with customers, sponsors, and Contractor Officer Representatives to meet requirements.
