The Deputy Human Resources Officer position is located in the Office of Administration, EOIR, U.S. Department of Justice.

The incumbent oversees HR operations, implements human capital initiatives, develops HR policies, advises senior leadership on workforce matters, and supervises staff to ensure effective HR services. This is a Competitive Service position with potential additional openings within 90 days of certificate issuance.

Formación

• Time-in-grade requirements for merit promotion; one year at GS-13 to qualify for GS-14.
• Submit SF-50 showing time-in-grade eligibility and clearly reflecting title, series, and grade.
• Time-in-grade also applies to VEOA applicants who held a GS position in the past year.
• Specialized experience must include at least one year at the GS-13 level performing HR operations, policy development, and senior leadership advisory duties.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee HR operations across multiple functional areas to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant personnel services.
• Develop and implement human capital initiatives addressing organizational priorities.
• Develop or evaluate HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Provide authoritative, data-driven recommendations to senior management on HR issues affecting workforce management.
