Job summary

Naaahrrva is seeking a Deputy Director for Maryland Judiciary Human Resources, reporting to the Assistant State Court Administrator. You will help develop and direct HR programs, budgets, and policies to support the Judiciary’s mission and workforce needs.

You will supervise HR managers, coordinate across divisions, and ensure compliant, efficient HR operations including payroll, benefits, and succession planning. Experience in public sector HR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible professional experience in human resources, which must include four (4) years of experience managing staff.

Responsibilities

• Develops short and long-term plans and budgets for HR programs.
• Oversees talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, payroll, and employee relations.
• Leads strategic workforce planning and organizational design across the Judiciary HR Division.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state laws and Judiciary policies.
• Collaborates with other agencies and leadership to implement HR initiatives.
