Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of fire prevention principles, building/electrical/mechanical/fire codes, and related laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct fire cause/origin and arson investigations for the Fire Marshal's Office.
• Enforce fire code through life safety inspections and plans review in commercial occupancies.
• Supervise investigators and inspectors; inspect businesses for fire code compliance.
• Coordinate with other departments/agencies; participate in emergency management activities.
