Job summary

The University of Missouri-Columbia seeks a Deputy Director of Research Security and Compliance to lead export controls, sanctions compliance, and foreign influence risk management across the UM system. This role partners with the Senior Director to provide operational leadership and strategic guidance on regulatory requirements for faculty, researchers, and administrators.

You will develop and supervise programs, review agreements and collaborations, deliver training, and report on program

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience plus at least 5 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of export controls and sanctions compliance programs.
• Review sponsored research agreements, international collaborations, and technology transfers for export control implications.
• Draft and manage license applications, classifications, and related filings.
