Job summary

Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking a Deputy Director, licensed Nursing Home Administrator to oversee clinical and fiscal operations of State Veterans' Homes. This senior leadership role requires strong regulatory compliance, reporting, and cross-department collaboration.

The incumbent will supervise Medical Records, Dietary, Housekeeping, Activities, and Social Services, implement strategic plans, and ensure consistent quality of resident care while maintaining compliance with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Florida NHA licensure required.
• Minimum 5 years as NHA in long-term care with strong regulatory compliance.
• Minimum 5 years in leadership/management of a skilled nursing home.
• Proficient computer skills; MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Must pass employment screening including background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director with clinical and fiscal operations of the Homes.
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports; assist with LBR submissions.
• Supervise departments and coordinate personnel across homes.
• Contribute to marketing, recruitment, and retention plans.
• Help develop disaster plans and risk assessments; ensure compliance with surveys.
