Job summary

Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs is seeking a highly responsible Homes Division professional to lead development, planning, and execution of processes for State Veterans’ Homes.

You will consult on Life Safety, Building Codes, and AHCA standards while coordinating maintenance, CIP projects, and budget submissions to ensure compliant, efficient operations across facilities. Travel up to 75% is expected.

Qualifications

• One year of professional experience tracking expenditures and balancing funds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data.
• Ability to prepare various reports and statistical data.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement processes for positive outcomes in State Veterans’ Homes.
• Advise on Life Safety, Building Codes, and AHCA standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and manage maintenance programs.
• Support CIP projects and budget forms for legislative requests.
• Track expenditures, reconcile funds, and report balances.
• Coordinate energy management programs and monthly usage reports.
• Act as FDVA contract manager and handle special projects.
• Travel up to 75% of the time.
