City of New York is seeking a Deputy Director of Housing Choice Voucher Tenancy within the Division of Tenant & Owner Resources to oversee HCV unit operations, ensuring compliance with HUD and local guidelines while driving efficiency and customer service. You will work with landlords, tenants, and city agencies to administer subsidies and renewals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience in community work or housing programs.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma with six years of related experience can qualify.
• Equivalency with at least one year of experience as described above is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead all operational activities of the HCV Tenancy Unit to ensure compliance with federal and local guidelines.
• Develop strategies to optimize case management and staff productivity.
• Collaborate with Director and senior staff to improve unit performance.
• Build relationships with landlords, tenants, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure procedures align with HUD regulations and agency policies.
• Respond to inquiries from landlords, tenants, and officials in a timely, professional manner.
• Oversee staff supervision, training, and professional development.
• Represent the division at internal and external meetings and manage special projects.
