Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and/or Engineering.
• 10–15 years of design/construction experience, hospital/academic preferred.
• New York State Code Enforcement Officer certification and/or Licensed Professional; if absent, must obtain within one year.
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.
• Or a satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and training.

Aufgaben

• Provide architectural engineering design services and field troubleshooting.
• Prepare design contract documents for construction/renovation.
• Develop departmental plans for major alterations and system modifications.
• Recommend alterations and perform economic analyses.
• Manage supervisory managers who work as facilities project managers.
• Provide leadership, budgeting review, and cost estimates for renovations.
• Act as construction superintendent and sign off on contract comments.
• Support senior managers and supervise architectural staff.
• Promote use of green sustainable products.
• Furnish technical engineering advice to VP and interpret record drawings.
• Attend job meetings and represent Director.
• Supervise draftspeople/estimators.
• Perform special activities as directed.
• Act as Director in absence.
