Job summary

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University seeks a Facilities Program Coordinator / Senior Project Manager, Electrical Engineer, to lead complex hospital and academic projects in Brooklyn. You will oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with administrators, architects, and consultants to meet tight deadlines.

Ideal candidates have 5–7+ years in electrical design/construction, NEC/NFPA knowledge, and proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Office, and MS Project.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
5–7+ years of electrical design and construction experience.
Knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes.
Experience in hospital or academic environments preferred.
Ability to manage outside design and construction teams.
Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Office, and MS Project.

Responsibilities

Oversee academic and hospital projects through all phases: planning, scheduling, budgeting.
Develop project goals and scope aligned with client needs.
Meet with administrators, architects, engineers, and consultants to align goals.
Monitor design/construction drawings to meet building standards.
Coordinate project schedules with hospital/university operations.
Prepare RFQ/RFP documents and bid packages with procurement.
Ensure on-time completion within scope and budget.
