Job summary

GTN Technical Staffing represents a rapidly growing HPC and cloud infrastructure client seeking a Deputy Chief Operating Officer to be a trusted advisor and senior representative of the COO in Dallas. This high-visibility role partners with the CEO, CFO, and executive team to translate priorities into action, manage cross-functional challenges, and keep critical decisions moving forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10–15+ years of relevant experience in corporate strategy, general management, management consulting, investment banking, or business operations.
• Experience working at or near the C-suite and advising senior executives.
• Proven ability to represent executive leadership in high-stakes discussions with sound judgment and discretion.
• Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving outcomes without direct authority.
• Ability to translate ambiguous strategic direction into clear priorities, structured actions, and measurable results.
• Strong financial and operational analytical skills.
• Excellent executive communication, presentation, and synthesis capabilities.
• Hands-on experience building and using Power BI or equivalent dashboards to support executive decisions.
• Proficiency using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot to improve research, analysis, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Represent the COO in leadership meetings and cross-functional discussions, communicating priorities and expectations.
• Advise on strategy, organizational challenges, resource tradeoffs, and business priorities.
• Identify, prioritize, and sequence the company’s highest-impact initiatives.
• Translate executive direction into clear objectives, decision points, and expectations for functional leaders.
• Provide independent recommendations by synthesizing financial, operational, and strategic input.
• Drive follow-through on COO-sponsored priorities and establish ownership, milestones, and follow-up.
• Build and maintain executive dashboards using Power BI or comparable tools and integrate information across functions.
• Prepare executive briefings, presentations, and recommendations.
