Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sentinel Deputy Chief Engineer Software for locations including Roy, UT. You will lead the SDS Software Factory, drive integration across teams, ensure software delivery, testing and on-time execution, and shape the team culture.

The role requires senior software leadership with experience in C++, real-time embedded software, and full software lifecycle, with DoD clearance and SAP access. Competitive benefits and relocation support are included.

Qualifications

• 16+ years of experience with Bachelors in STEM
• 14+ years of experience with Masters in STEM
• US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date in the last 6 years and ability to obtain SAP
• +10 Years of SW Experience (C++, real-time embedded software, OO design)
• +5 years of Hardware/Software integration with System architecture and hardware-in-the-loop testing
• Experience with EVMS and technical leadership

Responsibilities

• Ensure engineering processes in development, verification, production and sustainment meet quality standards
• Maintain achievable technical baseline balancing performance with cost and schedule
• Support PMT meetings (TRB, WSWG, CCB, PMR, PI planning, ROMB)
• Collaborate across teams to ensure design decisions meet system performance
• Support SDS Sector initiatives on tools and cross-program technical reviews
• Champion long-term technical objectives within Sentinel and SDS division
• Engage in technical interchange meetings with Sentinel partners
