Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Sentinel Deputy Chief Engineer Software to lead the SDS Software Factory across multiple sites, driving the Integrated Functional Capability Strategy and delivering software for all weapon system aspects, from flight software to ground systems.

You will guide technical teams, ensure adherence to processes, and work with program management to maintain schedule and performance. Relocation assistance and a robust benefits package are available.

Qualifications

16+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s in STEM; 14+ years with a Master’s in STEM.
US Citizenship with active DoD Secret clearance and reinvestigation in last 6 years plus ability to obtain SAP.
+10 years of software experience including C++, real-time embedded software, OO design, and full software lifecycle.
+5 years of hardware/software integration with system architecture and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
Experience with technical leadership, coaching and team management.
Experience with EVMS, scheduling, and technical scope execution.

Responsibilities

Lead the SDS Software Factory within the Command Systems unit.
Ensure engineering processes in development, verification, production and sustainment meet standards.
Support program reviews and planning (TRB, WSWG, CCB, PMR, PI).
Collaborate across teams to align design decisions with system performance.
Advance strategic SDS sector initiatives on tools and cross-program reviews.
Lead technical objectives within Sentinel and SDS division.
