Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sentinel Deputy Chief Engineer Software to lead the SDS Software Factory across multiple locations, guiding software delivery, testing, and on-time performance for the Sentinel program.

You will drive functional strategy, oversee engineering processes, and collaborate with PMTs to meet KPIs and technical goals while shaping a culture of excellence within the team.

Qualifications

16+ years of experience with Bachelors in STEM.
14+ years of experience with Masters in STEM.
US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with reinvestigation in last 6 years and ability to obtain SAP.
+10 years of SW Experience (C++, real-time embedded software, OO design).
+5 years of Hardware/Software integration with system architecture, requirements decomposition, HIL, simulation testing.
Experience in technical leadership, coaching and team management.

Responsibilities

Lead the SDS Software Factory and ensure compliance with engineering processes across all stages.
Maintain technical baseline balancing performance with cost and schedule.
Support PMT meetings (TRB, WSWG, CCB, PMR, PI planning, ROMB).
Resolve cross-team disconnects to ensure design meets system performance.
Drive strategic SDS sector initiatives on tools and processes.
Support technical interchange meetings with Sentinel partners.
