Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks Principal Software Test Engineers. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel Program.

Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs software and systems, collaborating with hardware engineers to meet user needs and maintain software standards across the lifecycle. A DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship are required, with OJT for SAP readiness and a 9/80 work schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5 years of experience, or Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year.
• US Citizenship with an active DoD Secret Clearance
• Ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period
• 2+ years of experience in Software Test, SW Development, or Systems Engineering
• 2+ years of experience with Java, C++, Python
• Experience writing test scripts
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodology

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems
• Collaborates with equipment designers and hardware engineers in planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems
• Determines user needs and analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems and ensure standards are met
