Job summary

Hanson Professional Services Inc. in Tampa, Florida, seeks a Deputy CAD Administrator to sustain and improve our CAD standards, assist project teams, troubleshoot issues, and enable efficient design workflows across the organization.

Position can be located in any office, hybrid or fully remote. The role requires an associate degree or higher in CAD or related field and 5–10 years CAD experience, with strong MicroStation/Bentley OpenX and ProjectWise proficiency.

Qualifications

• An associate degree or higher in CAD, engineering technology, drafting, or related field.
• 5–10 years of professional CAD experience.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or Bentley OpenX and/or ProjectWise; BIM tools are a plus.
• Strong CAD standards, plotting, and file management knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate solutions clearly.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce CAD standards, libraries, and best practices.
• Document CAD procedures and workflows.
• Support quality control reviews to ensure deliverables meet standards.
• Provide day-to-day CAD user support and troubleshoot plotting issues.
• Onboard new employees by setting up CAD profiles and permissions.
• Assist with software installations, version updates, and license coordination.
• Coordinate file management and project setup with IT and PMs.
• Support client Workspace deployment and CAD tool evaluations.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve CAD challenges.
• Identify opportunities to improve CAD workflows and automation.
