Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Department Manager to join our Store Management Team in Texas. You will support our culture, assist customers, and supervise team members while actively participating in sales and coaching associates to meet department goals.

You will lead training, maintain store standards, and ensure a safe, organized environment. You’ll help drive performance, control expenses, and deliver Best of the WEST customer service across the department.

Qualifications

• Retail department management and sales experience required.
• Ability to drive results and develop talent.
• Strong customer service and decision-making skills.
• Able to read and understand English.
• Able to stay alert and productive during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support Cavender’s Culture and drive Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Perform tasks of Cashier, Sales Associate and Key Carrier as needed.
• Maintain active role in personal selling and achieve sales per hour goals.
• Act as Manager on Duty as assigned.
• Assist in day-to-day management and supervise store associates to deliver Best of the WEST customer service.
• Open and close store as directed, address customer complaints, handle returns and exchanges.
• Lead training of store associates on sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Ensure store looks clean and presentable by following visual standards.
• Understand and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring departmental compliance.
• Participate in Loss Prevention measures in the store.
• Lead and support team to drive sales and achieve store goals for sales and payroll.
• Track department performance and assist with safety and security reporting.
• Assist leadership with storewide initiatives.
• Any other duties as assigned.
