Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Department Manager to join the Store Management Team in Texas. The role supports company culture, assists customers, and supervises team members while driving sales and store performance.

The Manager on Duty will lead training, ensure compliance with policies, and maintain a safe, well-presented store environment that reflects the Cavender’s standards and values.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to sell products and manage a retail department.
• Ability to manage store shifts effectively.
• Strong customer service and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Support Cavender’s Culture and drive Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Lead day-to-day store operations and supervise associates to deliver Best of the WEST service and drive sales.
• Act as Manager on Duty as assigned and open/close the store as directed.
• Lead training of associates, coaching on sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards and policies.
• Participate in Loss Prevention and report safety incidents promptly.
• Monitor department performance and contribute to store goals for sales and payroll.
• Address customer complaints and handle returns and exchanges.
