Job summary

The Graduate School of Leadership and Change at Antioch University in Keene, NH invites applications for a part-time Student Affairs Assistant in the Office of Student Affairs. Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the New England Director and Student Affairs staff.
  • Perform Data entry and manage job postings in myCareer Planner portal.
  • Assist with updating Student Affairs sites and other organizational tasks.
  • Greet and assist students, employees, visitors, and callers; office receptionist duties.
  • Handle daily computer-based tasks and maintain electronic materials.

Number of Positions: 2-3
Hours per Week: 10 -20 hrs/wk
Weekends Required: Some weekends may be required if events or programs on campus. Can be worked out with supervisor
Evenings Required: We will work with schedules. If applicant isn't available during the day then some evenings may be approved.

Alternate Supervisor: Daniel Andrews

Percentage of time that could be remote (0-100%): 25 %
balance of time must be in the Student Services office
Method to assess remote work: daily log, scanning, google and email, other tasks as assigned.

Job Description
  • The Student Affairs Assistant position in the Office of Student Affairs is a part-time position. No two days are the same and are often exciting and filled with research, computer work and assisting students with connection and belonging.
  • The Student Affairs Assistant reports to, and works in collaboration with, the New England Director of Student Affairs providing administrative support to the Director and Student Affairs department staff.
  • Student success support includes, Data entry and management of job
  • Internship postings within myCareer Planner portal
  • Assisting the University Director with the administrative tasks essential to furthering departmental goals in support university-wide student success initiatives (mental health, veterans and military-connected programming, updating of Student Affairs sites, general administrative support)
  • Answer basic questions regarding all Student Affairs supports Data management, Intra-university Google sites Web content for various student affairs departments, etc Manage competing priorities and pending requests Other duties as assigned to support department needs While performing the duties of this job, the student worker is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands and fingers, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The individual must occasionally lift and/or carry up to 5 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Requires daily use of computers and other standard office equipment. The individual who occupies this position may be asked to sit at the front desk and serve as a receptionist. The work involves being responsible for providing students, employees, visitors, and callers with a welcome and attentive presence. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Qualifications
  • This position requires first and foremost an attitude of friendly service to all walk-in, email and phone traffic.
  • Must also be able to work independently with little supervision, be organized and detailed, possess technical skills to assist with daily tasks, maintain electronic materials and work in Microsoft Office with Word, Google and Excel.
  • Willingness to support a positive work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully complete tasks in a timely manner.
