Job summary

Connection, Inc. is seeking a Technician II, Depot to test, repair, and refurbish defective computer systems to meet high quality standards. You will mentor Technician I and help ensure refurbishment processes align with customer and manufacturer expectations.

The role requires hands-on repair skills, strong diagnostics, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, with a focus on teamwork and adherence to safety and quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• OS knowledge across Windows, Linux, and macOS required.
• Certifications with ability to stay current on industry standards.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Advanced technical aptitude with PC components and software.
• Detail-oriented with careful refurbishing and testing.
• Hands-on repair or configuration experience.
• Ability to read complex work instructions or schematics.
• Strong leadership and mentoring of junior technicians.
• Adaptable to shifting priorities and multitasking.
• Excellent interpersonal communication across all levels.
• Proven teamwork and collaboration.
• CompTIA A+ and at least 2 manufacturer certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, troubleshooting and repair of defective computer systems.
• Ensures refurbished items meet customer, manufacturer and industry standards.
• Mentors Technician I and assists junior staff.
• Keeps certifications current and pursues new manufacturer trainings.
• Receives returned inventory and assists with location management and auditing of refurbished items.
• Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
