Job summary

Restaurant Technologies is seeking an Operations Manager, Distribution to lead a depot team, ensuring safe, efficient delivery operations and strong customer outcomes. You will drive KPI performance, coach leaders, and work with Service and Support to optimize financial and operational results.

You will partner with the General Manager to meet depot goals, manage workforce planning, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced field environment. Based in MA, with relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in operations, distribution, logistics, or route-based environment.
• Experience leading people, teams, or daily operations (formal or informal).
• Ability to coach, develop, and hold frontline employees accountable.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Basic understanding of safety practices and regulated environments.
• Ability to use data and metrics to manage performance and solve problems.
• Willingness to lead from the front and be actively engaged in daily operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team through coaching and accountability.
• Foster leadership capability through coaching and talent development.
• Own safety culture by enforcing policies and regulatory compliance.
• Coach team members to reinforce safe driving behaviors and discipline.
• Drive workforce planning including recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling.
• Oversee fleet performance and maintenance to support distribution.
• Ensure pre/post-trip inspections and monitor uptime/downtime metrics.
• Create a customer-focused culture and meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and retain customers.
• Oversee distribution execution including delivery and uptake of used oil.
• Maintain high service levels, route efficiency, and performance.
• Perform route reconciliation for accurate delivery, billing, and invoicing.
• Manage labor utilization and scheduling to optimize productivity.
• Maintain accurate inventory and coordinate tanker deliveries.
