Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Depot Attendant for Saturdays at the Recycling/Transfer station. You will oversee usage, perform general labor, operate station equipment, and support yard cleanup, fueling, and basic vehicle tasks.

You’ll help customers unload, inspect loads for safety, and assist in moving recyclables to the MRF. This part-time, non-benefitted role runs 7:00 am to 4:30 pm with a starting wage of $18–$21 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains station machinery such as compactors.
• Keeps the facility clean and safe; sweeps floors and picks up around station.
• Maintains simple records of vehicles, containers loaded, and equipment use.
• Assists customers with unloading their trash.
• Inspects loads for safety and proper disposal.
• Moves recyclables to the MRF and loads trash into semi-trailers.
• Participates in training and other duties to support company mission.
