Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Transfer Station Laborer to perform general labor duties at our transfer facility. The role includes yard clean-up, fueling vehicles, and basic vehicle operation while supporting safety and efficient operations.

• The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work as part of a team with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be physically able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with unloading trash and keep work areas clean.
• Inspect loads for unacceptable materials to protect safety.
• Move recyclable material to the MRF for proper handling.
• Maintain the facility by sweeping, cleaning, mowing, and snow/ice removal.
• Participate in training and other learning opportunities.
