Job summary

ECRS in Boone, NC is seeking a Deployment Technician to join the Deployment team. You will build, stage, configure, and refurbish hardware components, ensuring a quality out-of-box experience for customers.

You will manage deployment queues, perform QA checks, coordinate with inventory and shipping partners, and help improve processes. This role requires a two-year degree or equivalent and comfort with PCs, networking, and hardware assembly.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or equivalent prior experience; IT courses are a plus.
• Basic knowledge of installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning & configuring PCs, Servers, Networking Equipment and Printers.
• Low-level PC hardware/software repair and correction experience.
• Working knowledge of LAN/WAN networks.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Active management of the Deployment queue.
• Review sales orders for accuracy/viability with prioritize and schedule deployment.
• Stage hardware with current images, software, firmware, and drivers.
• Maintain stock levels of shipping materials and small parts inventory.
• Perform assembly operations including equipment cleaning and bench assembly/disassembly.
• Become a subject matter expert in all SCO and POS hardware deployed.
• Review, revise, and maintain deployment processes and procedures.
• Coordinate with Inventory to pull orders in a timely manner.
• Maintain customer records in ECRS' internal tracking systems.
• Work with third party partners for domestic and international shipping.
• Coordinate daily UPS pickups.
• Conduct Quality Assurance checks on hardware and software deployed.
• Keep the work area organized, clean, safe, and professional.
• Cross train with other hardware departments to assist when needed.
