Job summary

ECRS is seeking a Deployment Technician to manage daily operations in the Deployment department in Boone, NC. The role focuses on building, staging, configuring, and refurbishing multiple components of the ECRS product line to ensure quality customer delivery.

The ideal candidate will review tasks, assist in process improvements, and work with cross-functional teams to support domestic and international shipping and ticketing systems.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or equivalent; IT courses are a plus.
• Basic low-level knowledge of installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning & configuring PCs, servers, networking equipment and printers.
• Low-level experience with PC hardware/software repair and correction.
• Working knowledge of LAN/WAN networks.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office suite.
• Mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving ability.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Active management of the Deployment queue.
• Review sales orders for accuracy/viability and schedule deployment.
• Stage hardware with current images, software, firmware, and drivers.
• Maintain stock levels of shipping materials and small parts inventory.
• Perform assembly, including cleaning, bench assembly/disassembly, and low-level electrical/mechanical work.
• Become SME in SCO and POS hardware deployed.
• Review and improve Deployment processes and procedures.
• Coordinate with the Inventory Coordinator to pull orders timely.
• Maintain customer records in internal tracking systems.
• Coordinate with third party partners for domestic and international shipping.
• Coordinate daily UPS pickups.
• Conduct QA checks on hardware and software deployed.
• Keep tickets updated with staging and shipping information.
• Keep work area organized, clean, and safe.
