Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a hands-on IT technician to support hardware, infrastructure, and end-user technology in a fast-paced operations environment in Georgia. The role emphasizes practical experience with hardware deployment, desktop support, networking, and data center operations.

You will build, image, configure, and deploy devices, troubleshoot desktops and connectivity, perform rack and stack activities, and assist with change management.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hands-on IT support, field services, infrastructure, or data center experience.
• Experience with hardware deployment and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Windows OS and basic Linux command-line usage.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, cabling, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, image, configure, and deploy hardware and devices.
• Troubleshoot desktops, peripherals, connectivity, and network issues.
• Perform rack-and-stack activities, fiber cabling, and structured cabling work.
• Handle Layer 1/Layer 2 troubleshooting and device-level fault isolation.
• Work tickets, perform routine maintenance, and support change management activities.
• Escalate issues when required and follow documented procedures.
• Support site technology operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
