Job summary

Assured Information Security (AIS) is seeking a Deployment Engineer to join our SecureView team in Rome, NY. This onsite role involves daily installation, configuration, and management of ESXi/VMware servers, RHEL and Windows servers, as well as Linux and Windows workstations.

The position also provides support for SecureView at local and remote customer sites and requires TS/SCI clearance. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree with 5 years IT deployment experience or an equivalent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination with 5 years deploying IT services.
• 4 years of hands-on Linux/RHEL experience.
• 4 years of Windows Server administration experience.
• 4 years in help desk or customer support roles.
• Solid understanding of Xen, VMware, and Citrix hypervisors.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher (CompTIA Security+ CE) preferred.
• Familiarity with USAF cyber community or DoD environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot Linux and Windows workstations.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot ESXi servers; support Windows and RHEL VMs.
• Serve as SME for assessments and Tier 3-4 support for SecureView.
• Develop and execute test plans for hardware/software upgrades.
• Create technical documentation and diagrams.
• Support customer calls.

Assured Information Security (AIS) is seeking a Deployment Engineer to join our SecureView team. This role involves daily installation, configuration, and management of ESXi/VMware servers, RHEL and Windows servers, as well as Linux and Windows workstations. The position also provides support for SecureView at both local and remote customer sites.

*This is an onsite position in Rome, NY and requires a TS/SCI*

What You'll Do:

• Linux and Windows workstation installation, management and troubleshooting.
• ESXi server install, configure and troubleshoot. Create and support Windows and RHEL VMs.
• Acts as the SME for assessments and provides Tier 3-4 support for the SecureView implementation
• Develop and execute test plans for hardware/software upgrades.
• Develop technical documentation and diagrams.
• Supports customer calls

Education/Experience/Skillset Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study and 5 years of experience in performing IT deployments or service delivery in an end user/customer environment OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4 years of hands‑on experience with Linux/RHEL.
• 4 years of experience administering Windows Server environments.
• 4 years of experience in help desk or other customer support roles.
• Solid understanding of hypervisors such as Xen, VMware, and Citrix.
• Demonstrated experience in technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher (i.e., CompTIA Security+ CE) preferred.
• Familiarity with system installation considerations within the USAF cyber community or DoD environments, supporting both local and remote users and site managers, is preferred.

US Salary Range: $94,000 - $147,000

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
