Job summary

King County's Department of Community and Human Services seeks a Training and Professional Development Lead to shape learning across the department, building standardized, role-based tracks and onboarding programs. You will partner with HR, EIB, and Contract Management to align training with standards and needs.

You will drive organizational change, evaluate effectiveness, and lead cross-functional teams to ensure staff across the department have access to growth opportunities and resources that

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading education, training, workforce development, or related programs.
• 5+ years supporting organizational change and helping staff adopt new practices.
• Applying equity, accessibility, and inclusion to learning initiatives.
• Using training data and feedback to improve programs.
• Clear communication with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Build departmentwide training and professional development programs aligned to priorities.
• Create standardized training and role-based learning tracks for various roles.
• Coordinate mandatory training across the department (contract management, compliance, safety).
• Develop onboarding, supervisor, and leadership development programs.
• Maintain training calendars and provide supervisors with tracking reports.
