Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Drug GM Department Supervisor to lead daily operations, supervise staff, and drive sales and service excellence in the Drug GM area. You will ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment while meeting department goals and controlling costs.

You will train associates, manage schedules, communicate targets, and uphold company policies, safety standards, and quality assurance throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience with Drug GM operations is required or preferred.
• Second language abilities (speaking, reading, and/or writing) are valuable.
• Strong math and numerical skills are important for handling pricing and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Communicate company, department, and job specific information to associates.
• Establish performance goals and empower associates to meet or exceed targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume throughout hours of operation.
• Train and develop associates on their job and participate in the performance appraisal process.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to questions and suggest items.
