Job summary

Terracon in Nashville, TN, seeks an experienced department supervisor to oversee multiple projects, ensure work aligns with client requirements, and uphold company policies, procedures and standards across teams.

You will lead proposals and cost estimates, staff planning and onboarding, annual business planning, and monitor metrics such as revenue growth, billing, and profitability while fostering safety, quality and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 5 years’ practice, or 9 years of related experience.
• Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals and cost estimates.
• Develop staffing plans, recruitment, selection and onboarding.
• Prepare and execute annual department business plan.
• Oversee revenue growth, staff chargeability, project billing and collections, and profitability.
• Develop understanding of project risk and company risk policies.
• Lead safety efforts and model a safe work environment; promote pre-task planning.
• Monitor quality standards and drive continuous improvement on projects and proposals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
