Job summary

Sentinel Health Services is seeking a licensed dentist to perform VA Compensation and Pension dental examinations as an independent contractor. You must own a commercial dental office within a 50‑mile radius, maintain malpractice and liability insurance, and hold an active DDS or DMD license.

Exams occur at approved offices with reliable equipment and internet access. A flexible schedule is encouraged, starting at 1–3 days per week, with weekends welcomed. VA exam experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree with CODA accreditation.
• Active, unrestricted dental license in state of practice.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience; VA exam experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform VA C&P dental examinations.
• Conduct dental, TMJ and other disability examinations.
• Complete IMOs when requested.
• Review digital medical and dental records.
• Conduct comprehensive oral evaluations for disability claims.
• Review imaging and supporting documents.
• Complete DBQs and required documentation.
• Submit information via secure online portal for VA review.
• Examinations held at approved dental offices with proper equipment and internet access.
• Maintain a flexible schedule (1–3 days per week to start).
