Job summary

Lane & Associates Family Dentistry/NCOSO in Cary, NC is seeking a Treatment Coordinator to guide patients through treatment plans, scheduling, and financial options.

You will manage calls, check-ins, insurance verification, and coordinate appointments while collaborating with doctors to ensure a smooth patient experience. A dental office background and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Previous dental office experience required.
• Experience as Treatment Coordinator or dental receptionist preferred.
• Oral Surgery and/or Orthodontics experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• A patient-first mindset with commitment to excellent customer service.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• A positive, professional, and dependable demeanor.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, providing a warm, welcoming, and professional experience.
• Manage a multi-line phone system, including scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments.
• Help maintain productive provider schedules by effectively coordinating patient appointments.
• Check patients in and out with professionalism and attention to detail.
• Present and review treatment plans with patients while helping them understand their recommended care and financial options.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility and assist patients with understanding their benefits.
• Collect payments and follow established financial policies and procedures.
• Accurately enter and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Maintain accurate electronic patient records while following HIPAA and company privacy requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and waiting area.
• Collaborate with doctors and team members to provide an exceptional patient experience.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the practice.
