Responsibilities include presenting written insurance estimates, coordinating with front desk, and ensuring HIPAA compliance while supporting a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Have awareness of the days schedule and make sure amounts are collected prior to the appointments or communicated to the front office team of what needs to be collected after the appointment.
• Communicate with the appointed patients on what their insurance coverage is and provide them with a written estimate prior to their appointment.
• Meet with patients after consultations to go over the treatment plan and the insurances. Provide them with a written estimate for services within 24-48 hours after consult.
• Schedule follow-up appointments as necessary.
• Appointing patients according to the priorities identified in the scheduling templates
• Analyze, calculate and prepare pre-treatment estimates and financial letters.
• Post Charges, payments, and denials. Enter patient demographics.
• Process Medicaid HMO claims and pre-authorizations for MA.
• File insurance claims for the HMO’s.
• Provide customer service for those calling into the billing line.
• All other duties as assigned
• Maintains confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
