Job summary

Shared Practices Group is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant with 1–2 years of relevant experience to join our fast-growing dental practice network in the United States. You will help establish efficient back-office workflows, support the doctor and dental lab operations, and ensure sterile room readiness for a variety of surgical procedures.

Ideal candidates are team players with strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to infection control and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of surgical dental assistant experience
• Positive, team-oriented mindset and strong work ethic
• Knowledge of implant procedures, All-on-Four and overdentures
• Proficient in taking alginate impressions
• Compliant with OSHA regulations and infection control protocols
• HIPAA compliant with patient privacy
• Skilled in capturing CBCT and panoramic x-ray images
• Maintains a positive, professional attitude
• Demonstrates a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Highly organized, efficient and dependable
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical histories, vital signs, medications, and alerts; notify the doctor of concerns promptly
• Set up and break down operatory equipment; charting per regulatory standards
• Assist the doctor chairside during surgical and dental procedures
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images accurately
• Educate patients on procedures, medications, and pre/post-operative instructions
• Clean and sterilize instruments; maintain treatment rooms per infection control protocols
• Monitor and manage clinical inventory; ensure supplies are stocked
• Support front desk staff to foster a collaborative team environment
• Maintain readiness by anticipating clinical needs and following chairside protocols
• Oversee basic maintenance and troubleshooting of office equipment
