Job summary

Shared Practices Group is seeking a Surgical Dental Assistant with 1–2 years of experience to support back-office operations and assist the doctor during a range of surgical procedures. You will help establish efficient workflows and ensure a sterile room for optimal patient care.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clinical and administrative teams, maintaining inventory, and providing direct support to dental lab operations. Monday–Friday, competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of basic dental terminology.
• Experience with inventory management and supply ordering.
• Knowledge of implant procedures, All-on-Four and overdentures.
• Proficient in taking alginate impression.
• Compliant with OSHA regulations and infection control protocols.
• Adheres to HIPAA standards for patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Skilled in capturing CBCT and panoramic x-ray images.
• Maintains a positive, professional attitude.
• Demonstrates a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Highly organized, efficient and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical histories, obtain vital signs, and document medications and conditions; notify the doctor of concerns promptly.
• Set up and break down operatory equipment; ensure charting and schedule efficiency.
• Assist the doctor chairside during surgical and dental procedures.
• Capture CBCT and panoramic images with accuracy.
• Educate patients on procedures and post-operative instructions.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms per infection control.
