The HealthCare Connection (THCC) seeks a Clinical Director, Dental Services to provide senior clinical and administrative leadership for the dental program under the Chief Dental Officer. The role oversees the Dental Practice Manager and dental providers, while maintaining an active clinical practice around 60% of the time.

Ideal candidates bring a DMD/DDS, Ohio license, DEA registration, and 6+ years in dentistry with 4+ years in leadership, preferably in an FQHC or community health setting.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree is required and Ohio license is active.
• Current unrestricted license to practice dentistry in Ohio, with DEA registration.
• Six years of progressive dentistry experience.
• Four years of leadership, supervisory, or administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, high‑quality dental care while maintaining an active clinical practice ~60% time.
• Lead and develop dentists, dental hygienists, and the Dental Practice Manager.
• Oversee clinical quality, patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage dental service performance, access, productivity, staffing, and patient experience.
• Collaborate on budgets, resources, and operational improvement with the Chief Dental Officer.
• Support strategic growth of the dental program and expand access to services.
• Represent dental leadership in organizational initiatives when the Chief Dental Officer is absent.
