Job summary

Southeast Dental Partners is hiring a Payment Posting Specialist to own insurance posting and reconciliation for multiple dental practices using Open Dental. The role blends in-office days with remote work, totaling a hybrid schedule designed for focused remote day efficiency and patient data security.

You'll post payments from EFTs, ERAs, and paper checks, review EOBs, reconcile deposits, and investigate discrepancies to keep practices current.

Qualifications

• Dental insurance posting, dental billing, or dental RCM experience.
• Knowledge of dental EOBs, ERAs, PPO adjustments, deductibles, and coinsurance.
• Ability to manage high volume work across multiple practices and remote days.

Responsibilities

• Post insurance payments in Open Dental from EFTs, ERAs, paper checks, and virtual credit cards.
• Review EOBs and ERAs so adjustments, write-offs, and patient responsibility post correctly.
• Reconcile deposits against payment records.
• Research missing payments, unapplied funds, and posting discrepancies until resolved.
• Keep assigned practices current and free of backlog.
• Report payment trends and recurring issues to Hub leadership and practice teams.
• Join a weekly call with Practice Managers and Regional Directors.
• Follow HIPAA and RCM procedures whether in the office or at home.

Job description

We're hiring a Payment Posting Specialist for our centralized dental revenue cycle management (RCM) team. You'll own insurance payment posting and reconciliation for dental practices using Open Dental. About 90% of our payments arrive electronically, which is what makes the hybrid schedule work: two days in the office, three at home.

Responsibilities

• Post insurance payments in Open Dental from EFTs, ERAs, paper checks, and virtual credit cards
• Review EOBs and ERAs so adjustments, write-offs, and patient responsibility post correctly
• Reconcile deposits against payment records
• Research missing payments, unapplied funds, and posting discrepancies until they're resolved
• Keep your assigned practices current and free of backlog
• Report payment trends and recurring issues to Hub leadership and practice teams
• Join a weekly call with Practice Managers and Regional Directors
• Follow HIPAA and RCM procedures whether you're in the office or at home

Qualifications

• Dental insurance payment posting, dental billing, or dental RCM experience
• Working knowledge of dental EOBs, ERAs, PPO adjustments, deductibles, and coinsurance
• Strong attention to detail and the habit of fixing discrepancies instead of moving past them
• Able to manage a high volume of work across multiple practices and stay on track on remote days

Preferred: Open Dental, DentalXChange, Vyne, Google Workspace

Schedule and location

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Hybrid: in office Wednesdays plus one flexible day, remote the other three
