Job summary

Community Health Care is hiring Patient Services Representatives to support seven clinics in Pierce County. You will manage patient billing, set up payment plans, and process referrals while ensuring accurate EHR/EPMS documentation. A 6:00 AM–5:00 PM shift four days per week is required.

The role requires a High School Diploma and about one year of medical front-office experience, with opportunities for continuing education and benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a medical or front-office setting.
• Ability to explain bills and payment options clearly.
• Experience with billing processes and patient communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up payment plans and collect patient payments.
• Answer questions concerning bills and insurance.
• Verify billing information in EHR/EPMS systems.
• Process referrals to specialty care, dietitians, radiology, and community resources.
• Contact patients to schedule appointments and follow up on outstanding items.
• Review sliding fee paperwork for completeness and correctness.
• Respond to billing inquiries from staff, vendors, and patients.

Our Patient Services Representatives provide customer service to patients regarding their accounts including setting up payment plans, answering questions concerning bills, and ensure billing information is accurate in system. They also process referrals to specialty care, dieticians, radiology exams, community resources and contact patients to make appointments. They will ensure copays and deductibles are adjusted based on patient’s sliding fee level (as appropriate) plus they review sliding fee paperwork for completeness and ensure documented correctly in electronic health record (E.H.R) and practice management (E.P.M) systems. They also answer billing questions from staff, vendors, and patients. Plus, other duties as assigned.High School Diploma plus 1 year experience in medical front office or combination of relevant experience and education.This position requires working a 6:00 AM–5:00 PM shift, four days per week.We encourage anyone with a relevant combination of education and experience to apply.
