Job summary

Community Health Care is seeking a Professional Healthcare Biller for our clinics in Tacoma, WA. The role involves entering data in a computerized billing system, submitting claims to third parties, and preparing statements and postings.

Requires a high school diploma and completion of an accredited Medical/Dental billing program plus 1 year of billing experience, including Medicare/Medicaid. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and graduation from an accredited Medical/Dental billing program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical/Dental billing including Medicare and Medicaid or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Input data using a computerized billing information system, including out of office encounters and bills.
• Submit claims to third parties manually and electronically.
• Prepare files for processing of patient statements and post payments to accounts.
• Re-bill claims as needed and verify accuracy and completeness of charges entered by clinic support staff.
• Complete routine maintenance of the computer system including backup and daily/monthly closing procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
