Job summary

Treasure Valley Orthodontics in Meridian, ID is seeking a Patient Coordinator to manage scheduling, pre-visit prep, and follow-up, ensuring a smooth patient care experience.

You will coordinate communication between providers and patients, confirm appointments, collect consent forms and medical histories, and support the front desk during busy periods. Experience with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years administrative/front desk experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare education preferred.
• Previous dental/healthcare scheduling experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills.
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all patient appointments with accurate time allocation and operatory needs.
• Confirm appropriate spacing and alignment with provider availability.
• Coordinate pre-appointment and follow-up visits as directed by the clinical team.
• Contact patients to confirm appointments and provide prep/follow-up instructions.
• Communicate preparation instructions, financial expectations, and timelines.
• Address patient questions in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Ensure documentation (consent forms, medical histories, referrals, imaging) is collected and uploaded.
• Assist with verifying referrals and insurance authorizations prior to appointments.
• Maintain appointment calendar and alert team of conflicts or changes.
• Monitor and reorder supplies to support daily operations.
• Assist patients at check-in/check-out when necessary.
• Support administrative projects and coverage during absences or high volume.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
