Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, creating a warm atmosphere.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments as needed.
• Verify benefits and eligibility for dental insurance.
• Submit and track predeterminations and pre-authorizations.
• Post Explanations of Benefits (EOBs) to patient accounts.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in insurance payments and claims.
• Understand dental coding, insurance terminology, and payer requirements.
• Assist patients in filling out information forms.
• Prepare patient charts and daily schedules for staff.
• Update patient records and document treatments.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and provide telephonic reminders.
• Communicate with insurance providers about co-pays.
• Verify payment methods and collect payments.
• Perform general office duties to support the practice.
