Job summary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Dental Assistant Certificate required
• RHS certificate required
• Coronal Polishing certificate required
• Advanced knowledge of dental terminology, instruments and procedures
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation for travel to sites as needed
• Advanced computer proficiency including Windows, MS Office, and Patient Management System
• Advanced office skills: typing and telephone etiquette

Responsibilities

• Evaluate issues and prioritize problems, assist with resolution using critical thinking
• Serve as subject matter expert for all levels of Dental Assistants
• Participate in interviewing and candidate selection
• Mentor and train staff; orient new hires
• Organize daily work activities and schedules; cover as needed
• Manage inventory of supplies, instruments, and equipment; place orders
• Request maintenance of equipment and facilities as needed
• Travel to other dental locations to support organizational needs
• Attend committee or work group meetings and participate in process improvements
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety and regulatory requirements
• Maintain patient records and documents accurately
