Job summary

Adelante Healthcare seeks a dedicated Dental Assistant to support providers, prepare operatory rooms, and maintain patient records. You will sterilize instruments, manage inventory, and assist in chair-side procedures while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring CPR/AED certification, a dental assisting credential, RHS and CP certificates, and strong communication skills. Arizona-specific licenses and experience preferred; travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED certification required and up to date.
• Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum two years of dental assistant experience.
• Dental Assistant Certificate required.
• RHS certification required by the Arizona board.
• CP certification required by the Arizona board.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Windows, MS Office and a Patient Management System.
• Strong typing and telephone etiquette skills.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors and direct them as needed.
• Chair-side assistance to dental providers during procedures.
• Prepare operatory rooms for patient treatment.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain inventory.
• Maintain patient records and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Handle clinical calls and coordinate with dental front office.
• Take dental radiographs in compliance with regulations.
• Perform coronal polishing according to protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-op care.
• Assist with lab tasks like models and impressions.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
