Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator for our St. Paul, MN clinic. This entry-level, full-time role serves as the first impression for patients and includes training. Prior dental office experience is preferred but not required.

The position involves front desk duties, scheduling, billing verification, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant patient records in a welcoming environment. Training will be provided and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous customer service, front desk, or administrative experience preferred.
• Dental office experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones promptly and professionally and direct patient inquiries appropriately.
• Schedule appointments for doctors, dental therapists, and hygienists to ensure efficient provider schedules.
• Verify and update patient billing and insurance information with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Check in patients upon arrival while maintaining privacy, efficiency, and a welcoming environment.
• Update patient forms and scan documentation into patient charts.
• Coordinate interpreter services as needed to support patient care.
• Process incoming and outgoing requests including referrals, record transfers, prescription requests, head start forms, and post-operative calls.
• Process patient payments and ensure accurate posting to provider accounts.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk and lobby area.
