Job summary

PDS Health in Hanover, MA is seeking an Operations Manager Trainee to learn the essentials of running a dental office with the support of a supervisor and a structured development program. The role targets hands-on management of front and back office teams, adherence to cash and accounting controls, and ongoing leadership growth.

Upon completion, the candidate will independently manage a dental office, driving revenue and ensuring smooth daily operations within a PDS Health office network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years of related work experience in operational management.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance; DMV record check at time of hire.
• Travel to multiple offices per day with reliable transportation.
• In lieu of a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance, alternate transportation to travel to multiple offices.
• Travel may be planned or unplanned and may change.
• Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Five or more years of experience leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Modeling company culture, values, standards and best operational practices; learn to promote PDS culture daily.
• Hiring and retention of right-fit team members with thorough training and coaching.
• Resolve staff and patient issues with timely, effective solutions.
• Execute the PDS Operational Model to meet office imperatives with Owner Dentist.
• Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth.
• Manage expenses to meet monthly goals and budget.
• Ensure cash management and accounting protocols are followed.
• Catalyze team development for the Perfect Patient Experience.
• Lead, coach and mentor to identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain commitments and open communication with supervisors.
• Proficiency with People-related tools and resources (assessment, hiring, evaluation, compensation guidance).
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory bodies.
• Report weekly to Regional Manager on accomplishments and goals.
• Demonstrate competency in managing Front and Back Office teams by end of program.
• Develop and implement an office success plan and staff development protocols.
• Perform other duties to improve team development outcomes.
