The Office Manager supervises the business aspects of a dental practice such as billing, supplies, patient scheduling, front desk and staff management and assisting patients with billing, insurance, and treatment plans. The day-to-day responsibilities include:

  1. Plan and manage dental business operations to ensure excellent patient support services
  2. Oversee daily office activities and provide direction and guidance to staff as needed
  3. Ensure that patient appointments, cancellations and last-minute adjustments are handled properly
  4. Respond efficiently to patient and doctor needs and inquiries
  5. Ensure the delivery of quality dental care to patients
  6. Respond to patient queries and issues and ensure patient satisfaction
  7. Resolve patient issues in accordance with company policies and procedures, healthcare regulations and dental board standards
  8. Organize and present payment schedules with patients
  9. Train, develop and manage staff to meet performance standards
  10. Oversee employee performance evaluations, promotions, terminations, and retention
  11. Oversee staff scheduling to ensure full coverage
  12. Organize and oversee supply purchases, equipment upgrades and operation expenses
  13. Run and analyze management reports
  14. Maintain patient data according to HIPAA regulations and company policies

Qualifications:

  1. Dental office management experience in a multi-specialty and/or multi-doctor dental office
  2. Must have prior experience in dental
  3. At least 3 years of experience with billing, insurance, scheduling, etc.
  4. Strong dental terminology, experience in the dental industry
  5. Dentrix experience preferred
  6. Excellent communication skills
