Lake Joy Dental Care, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Business Assistant to join our team in Kathleen, GA. You’ll support front office operations, greet patients, answer calls, manage emails, and coordinate scheduling and records using Dentrix.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient-first service, and ongoing learning. Ideal candidates have 1+ years in a dental or medical setting, strong communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to HIPAA and data protection.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Access to minimum PHI with HIPAA training and data safeguards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
• Manage front office duties: phones, mail, emails, and communications.
• Use Dentrix for patient scheduling and records.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
• File patient insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims.
• Post insurance and patient payments; process accounts receivable.
• Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
