Job summary

A Healthy Smile Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Dental Insurance Coordinator to verify benefits, submit claims, and resolve billing issues. You will partner with patients and the dental team to ensure accurate, timely claims and smooth practice operations.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of dental insurance experience, strong communication skills, and a detail-oriented mindset, with familiarity in Dentrix or Eaglesoft preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• 1–2 years of dental insurance billing or coordination experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dental insurance plans, codes, and terminology.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft or similar).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance benefits and coverage before appointments.
• Submit and track dental insurance claims for procedures performed.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve issues with providers.
• Explain insurance benefits and coverage to patients clearly.
• Assist patients with billing inquiries and payment issues.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document insurance information.
• Process and update insurance information in the system.
• Collaborate with front office for smooth patient flow and accurate billing.
• Stay up-to-date with insurance policies and industry changes.
