Job summary

HTU in Connecticut seeks a licensed Registered Dental Hygienist to provide preventive dental care, including prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, fluoride and sealants. You will perform screenings, periodontal assessments, radiographs, and patient education while documenting histories and vital signs.

Applicants should have an Associate’s degree in dental hygiene and a Connecticut RDH license, with availability Monday to Friday 9AM-5PM (Friday until 4PM) and alternating Saturdays 9AM-2PM; Dentrix

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program.
• Valid Connecticut RDH license to practice.
• Dentrix Ascend software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, fluoride and sealant application.
• Detect disease through oral cancer screening and periodontal assessment.
• Select materials and equipment based on patient oral health evaluation.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative care.
• Document services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting.
• Sterilize equipment.
• Take x-rays as necessary following ADA recommendations.

Your Role
